Can I Have Some Pills for Me and the Civilization? is an experimental video work that begins with the inner world of a teenager, presenting loneliness, delusion, fragility, and the hope found in growth. The film unfolds in three parts: the “eye” serves as an entry point, transforming the artist’s journeys through Syria, Afghanistan, Easter Island, Egypt, the Paris Olympics, and Burning Man into surreal imagery; a golden sphere runs throughout, symbolizing the civilizational conflicts arising from religion, war, and social fracture; and finally, golden sacred objects point to the fusion of cultures and beliefs. Through the interplay of black-and-white tones with golden motifs, the work constructs a visual journey where the individual and civilization mirror one another.
